The Northampton chair is a French carved design with carving detail of the legs, stretchers, and arms. The front leg posts have a leaf design that follows the curve of the leg to the carved footpad. The side stretcher and the center stretcher are shaped with carved fluting on the top. The beautifully curved arms have the same leaf carving that is on the leg posts. The tightly upholstered back with modified camel back top rail flows in the the tightly upholstered seat.
